San Ramon Golf Courses

San Ramon Golf Courses

Located 40 miles east of San Francisco, San Ramon lies in the center of northern California’s tri-valley. With a
beautiful annual climate and easy access from anywhere in the east bay, there is nothing better than spending a few hours on one of the several San Ramon golf courses.

San Ramon Golf Club
Located at 9430 Fircrest Ln. in San Ramon Ca, for tee times the pro shop can be reached by calling (925) 828-6100.
San Ramon Golf Club is a medium length course that meanders through the neighborhoods off of Interstate 680 and Alcosta Blvd. Previously named Royal Vista, San Ramon Golf Club recently went through a name change as well as some course improvements. The most drastic of these improvements came in the form of a new island green on the number 9 hole. With a course rating of 71.3 and a slope of 125 this par 72 /18 hole layout measures 6451 yards from the back tees. With 3 sets of tee boxes San Ramon Golf Club offers a challenge for all skill levels. Whether you prefer to walk or rent a cart San Ramon Golf Club takes pride in their 4 ½ hour pace of play, faster than any of the other San Ramon golf courses. Course record is 64 by: Russel Davies.

Canyon Lakes Golf Club
Another one of the many San Ramon golf courses is Canyon Lakes Golf Club located at 640 Bollinger Canyon Way. If you would like to test your skill at Canyon Lakes Golf Club you can reach the pro shop at (925)735-6511.  This 18 hole par 71 layout measures 6370 from the back tees with a course rating of 71.9 and a slope of 131. Canyon Lakes Golf Club winds through the houses nestled along the San Ramon foothills and offers stunning views of Mount Diablo and the San Ramon valley. The beauty of the surrounding terrain along with the challenges of the course including the tough par 5 14th may be why it was ranked #4 in northern California in 1996 by the Northern California Golf Association. Course record is by Brian Baer.

The Bridges Golf Club
The most challenging of the San Ramon golf courses by far has to be The Bridges Golf Club located at 9000 S. Gale Ridge Rd, the clubhouse can be reached by calling (925)735-4253.   With a course rating of 74.5 and a slope of 147 this par 72, 6860 yard layout has been rated as one of the toughest courses in northern California. Designed by Johnny Miller, The Bridges requires accurate tee shots along with delicate approach shots to some of the largest and challenging greens around. The 18th green is the largest on the course measuring 84 yards long making a two putt a challenge for even the best player out there. Course record is 63 by: Josh Williams.

With the exception of Canyon Lakes the other two courses have driving ranges to hit some balls before your round or just for practice. All three courses have practice greens to work on your short game. If practicing in the comfort of your home is more your speed, the pros at O’Neill’s Green Services  can work with you in designing and building a maintenance free synthetic putting green in your yard.
