In October of 2015, he contacted our office for the first time, to request a free estimate for putting stamped concrete and pavers in his front yard. Although we are primarily known for installing putting greens and synthetic turf, concrete and hardscapes are also among our list of specialties. Paver Driveway, a Walkway, and a Small Front Patio Area
The total project area was measured out at 805 square feet, which included a driveway, a walkway, and a small front patio area. The existing concrete was cracked in several areas, which is common with concrete over time. After taking this fact into consideration, the customer decided that pavers would be best, as they do not crack. In order to get started, our Forever Greens crew needed to break out and remove the old unsightly concrete, as well as remove some areas of dirt and dead natural grass. Once this process was completed, the grading and installation work began. First off, the ground was leveled and graded to direct drainage towards the street. Then a weed barrier was placed down, to prevent anything from growing up and damaging the new hardscape. Next, a layer of base rock was spread and compacted to create a solid smooth surface for the pavers to be laid.

Two Different Sizes and Patterns of Pavers for the Two Areas
Catalina style pavers in Bella color, manufactured by Belgard, were chosen for the entire project. Because there were two separate areas to be paved, the customer chose to select two different sizes and patterns for them. This allows for differentiation between the areas, and helps to create two unique spaces with great curb appeal. For the driveway and walkway area, the customer chose Large Pavers in Pattern B, and for the patio, Small Pavers in Pattern D were selected. Once laid, interlocking paver sand was added to the joints to finish off the pavers and lock them together. To add the perfect finishing touch, the border was created with bullnose edging pavers that were cemented in place to keep everything tightly framed.

Neighbor Impressed with Driveway and Patio Home Improvements
As the project was coming to a close, one of the neighbors walked over to admire our work. He was very impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail at every corner. He also commented on how much he felt that the new paver patio and driveway improved the look of the home.
After a few moments of inspection, the neighbor asked if he too could get a quote for having pavers put in at his home. Our experienced Forever Greens staff happily assisted him, and set an appointment for one of our knowledgeable sales representatives to come out.

The Livermore customer was so pleased with our company and the excellent work that we provided, that he decided to get another quote to have us install natural grass in his front yard. His hope is that the impending El Nino will bring enough rain to help him maintain a living lawn. However, he asked for an estimate to install synthetic grass as well, to keep his options open.
